Andrew-Lee Potts as Don Alder

Andrew-Lee Potts plays Don Alder, Rick Hansen’s childhood friend, blood brother, and partner in their around the world odyssey. While Don’s life has always been about music, his dedication to Rick’s ambition is inextricability tied to walking away from an accident that cost Rick everything. Andrew and his sister Sarah-Jane, who plays Amanda, grew up aware of the challenges posed by disability. For much of the production in China, Don Alder was on set with Andrew. Together they worked in the shadow of the Great Wall reliving a story that both knew would help forever change the way we see each other.
